Inspired by the industrious woodpeckers observed deep within the Sal forest reserves of Jharkhand by founder and wildlife photographer Sajal Aryan, this piece is carved from seasoned solid timber. When a visitor pulls the braided bead-pull, the bird tilts gracefully on its brass pivot pin to deliver a rhythmic, satisfying rap against the backplate.
Every curve, beak taper, and wing feather is hand-chiselled and finished by indigenous tribal woodworkers, making each piece a distinct, tactile work of functional folk art.

Effortless 3-Step Setup
Mounting your woodpecker door chime takes less than two minutes on any wooden door, brick entryway, metal gate, or porch wall.
Choose Your Position
Select a spot beside or on your front door at comfortable hand height (around 4.5 to 5 feet from the floor).
Mount with Screw or Tape
Hang on a single wall screw using the rear keyhole slot, or peel-and-stick using the included heavy-duty mounting tape.
Pull & Listen
Pull the bottom wooden bead downwards. The woodpecker swings smoothly down and knocks the wood panel with an authentic rap!
Caring for Your Woodcraft
Because each piece is crafted from seasoned natural timber, it will age gracefully with time, developing a warm, deep patina.
- Dusting: Wipe gently with a dry, lint-free cotton cloth once a week.
- Moisture Care: Suitable for covered verandas, porches, and interior rooms. Avoid direct continuous rainfall exposure.
- Annual Polish: Rub a tiny drop of coconut oil, mineral oil, or beeswax with a soft cloth once a year to rejuvenate the rich timber grain.
